What's New at PRT...
We have a delightful bill of plays and musicals for summer 2012. PRT continues to select “family-friendly” seasons, and our patrons’ response has been overwhelmingly positive. We have begun our summer work and we have a fantastic group of young theatre artists in our company. Rehearsals are underway, directors, designers and production teams have begun the process of creating four great shows, and our Audience Services Office is processing subscription orders and preparing to open the ASO for general ticket sales on May 30th.
Billy Wilburn will direct Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Bob Sylskar will direct Steel Magnolias, J.D. Ackman directs Leading Ladies, and PRT is pleased to announce that Sue Klemp has joined us as a director for the first time this summer. Sue recently completed her first year at SDSU, and has proven a talented director and wonderful teacher and colleague. She will be directing A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum this summer.
With our opening PRT performance of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast a little less than three weeks away, we are looking forward our season with great anticipation. It is going to be a terrific summer, and we hope you will join us for all of our shows!
